We continuously monitor local and national healthcare related issues impacted by the current administration so that we can educate the public about the effects and identify any possible action steps.
When do we meet?
- Zoom meeting the second Tuesday of every month.
Current Intent
- Create trifold brochures, flyers, and other media related to heathcare so that we can present them at various Indivisible and public events, including protests.
- We set up a table at events where you can write, email, and text our representatives in Washington, DC about issues that need support.
- Monitor the various categories as explained below via specific sites containing reliable Health information such as Bluesky, Caitlin Rivers, Eric Topol, and Substak for latest information.
Actions so far
- The team provides flyers and posters with healthcare information. We also set up a spinning wheel game where you can test your knowledge on factual healthcare issues.
- The Indivisible Heathcare group will host speakers Kate Johnston and L. Thompson from the Colorado Foundation for Universal Health Care at the 14 October 2025 Indivisible Colorado Springs meeting.
- The team with staff a Healthcare table at the No Kings II protest.
- Two members each had articles about the importance of vaccines and seeking medical experts that was published in the Gazette. Another member interviewed the head of Westside Cares about the impact of budget cuts for homeless and folks with reduced income. This she hopes will form the basis of another publication.
- A member reported on VA. She had spoken to a disabled vet in his 40’s. She indicated he and others who work with vets will partner with her to learn more about the impact of the Trump policies on vets.
- A member reported on Women’s Health. She indicated the group met on April 14 and will meet every 2 weeks. This group researched the issues are are working on a trifold informational flyer.
- The vaccine group is uring those 65 and older to get the Covid, flue, and RSV vaccination.
- Many members have written to Senators and Congressmen, attended town halls, and participated in protests.
- Several members attended the Phil Weiser talk.

- The Healthcare group is involved into several topics that include Vaccines, Women’s Health, Vet’s Health, FDA/NIH/CDC, Pharma, Colorado Health Dept., Medicaid/PACE, Peak Vista.
