Indivisible Colorado Springs is a grassroots community advocacy organization that empowers people to connect and create positive change through education, collaboration, and action.

Vision Statement:
Our vision is to save democracy, safeguard inherent human rights, and fight for social justice.

Our Action Teams

Indivisible Colorado Springs is comprised of several action teams, each with their own specific purpose. These teams do not separate us, we all work together in a united front. Democracy

Executive Guardrails; Congressional Actions; Misuse of Power; Targeting “enemies”; Supreme Court; Free press; Authoritarianism; Free Speech

International Affairs

NATO, Isreal/GAZA, Canada/Mexico, War and Peace, Ukraine/Russia, Panama/Greenland, Military. Local, national, international.

Elections

Voting Rights; Voter Suppression; Voter Registration; Marginalized Voters; Election Interference: Advocating for “Local Champions”

Civil & Human Rights

Dismantling Racism; Rights of women, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, Indigenous, Class, Age, Youth/Student; Help make this Indivisible Chapter more inclusive and representative.

Immigration

Deportations and Mass Deportations; Family Safety; Laken Riley Act; Due Process: Risks to Sanctuary Safety; Colorado Immigration Rights Coalition (CIRC) and CIRC training; Economic effects of mass deportation.

Healthcare

AFC Affordable Care Act; Mental Healthcare; Women’s Healthcare; Trans and LGBTQIA Rights; MEDICARE; Marginalized Populations

Education

Education policies cut public school funding, promoted privatization, rolled back Title IX protections, and weakened support for low-income, undocumented, and special education students—widening disparities and reducing access to quality education.

Climate Change

Renewable energy in COS; Local Water Quality; Wild fire Risks; Local opportunities (green community); Local/national/global issues

State & Local Government

Education; Meetups with local officials; Housing: building projects, affordability, ADUs; etc.; Homelessness: COS Homelessness Response Plan; Collaboration with like-minded local organizations; sharing GOOD news about what is successful.
